I am leaving early Sunday (0615) to fly to ATL for an IMB meeting. I will have periodic updates on all the goings on! As I have said many times this is an incredibly exciting time to be a Christian. Serving at Anchor Way and the IMB is one of those unexpected blessings that we find in Scripture (cf. Jeremiah 33:3).
In addition to the meeting updates, there may be some shots of some of my FAV eating places!
It has been incredible here in Steamboat (sunny and in the low 70s) so I am sure I will love the weather in HOT'Lanta.
The picture is one taken just north of Steamboat. You can see the devastation that has resulted from the beetle infestation. This infestation has been going on for some time in northern Colorado and "the standing deads" are visible everywhere. It is really a sad sight to see "standing deads" as you drive around in our part of the state. Trees that were once alive and vibrant are now dead as a result of small enemy. Little beetles attack the trees and ultimately kill them. Reminds me of the devastating effects of sin. Small sins, just like the beetles, make their way inside to the very core of the individual and before anyone notices, a "standing dead." May we every be on guard for those small besetting sins which seek our destruction.
Until Sunday
